And speaking of double-features…
We’ve got co-founding sisters on this week’s episode of The Pitch.

Jessa Lux & Kinsey Lux
These equestrians-turned-entrepreneurs attribute their path to an entrepreneurial dad who shared the ins and outs of his business at dinner every night.
At 13, Kinsey was calling an Olympian on speaker phone with her older sister Jessa. They were determined to move to Florida for training.
They sold a car, bought a horse, applied to online schools and made the move to train with an Olympic rider.
One major learning from that time became the vision of Ride iQ: a really exceptional coach can make all the difference.
About those other sports…
Every time they pitch, Jessa and Kinsey get asked, “When are you expanding into other sports?!”
The key to pitching is to paint the big picture of where your startup is headed while keeping investors satisfied with the bones of the business you currently have.
The Pitch panel was strongly divided about the bones of Ride iQ. Half wanted them to expand early into other sports and half wanted them to go deep on horseback riding.
The Lux sisters were resolute in their plan to own the equestrian market before expanding.
As Josh and I have spoken with founders lately, a topic continues to come up. A lot of people will give you feedback - people who should know better than you. But, truly, no one knows your business better than you.
